This week on The Happy Page: Is your office boring? Maybe it could use a little bit of holiday magic.
Oh, here’s a little advice for anyone who’s been thinking they still need to try those Oreo candy canes: Don’t. They aren’t awful, but they don’t taste like an Oreo. Oh, and the Hot Chocolate Oreos don’t taste like hot chocolate, either. Oreo is having an off season, I think. In other holiday treat news, the Hostess hot chocolate flavored mini donuts also don’t taste a whole lot like hot chocolate, but if you can find a bag you won’t care because they’re delicious. I haven’t seen any limited edition holiday Pringles yet, but I’m on the lookout for them. Boxes of Pumpkin Spice Twinkies were on sale in a $1 bin, which should tell you something about how well that worked out, and another American version of Kinder Eggs has appeared on the holiday treat scene with a product design which sort of rams home the point that our own corporate overlords are convinced we’re too stupid to avoid eating the toy by mistake. Holiday M&Ms this year have been pretty meh, Hershey’s Kisses have thankfully not tried to get creative again, the Jelly Belly candy cane display is Willy Wonkesque enough to make up for Oreo’s mistake, and I managed to score the only package of Archway Iced Gingerbread that seems to have existed at Walmart since the holiday cookie display went up a few weeks ago. 😀
